For over almost century, the modest wooden door at 101 Broadway’s Spring Street side was more than just an entrance–it was the Reher family’s daily passage between home and work, the threshold of their immigrant story, and a quiet witness to community change.
The historic door needed restoration and we got to work. Today, the door is being preserved to safeguard its structure and legacy and that work is almost complete. Now, we invite the support of our community to ensure it remains in place for future generations to admire and learn from.
Your gift will help us restore the door, document its stories, and honor the vibrant life that once passed through it every day.
Join us in preserving a piece of Kingston's past and keep the doors to our shared history open.
